Suns' Kevin Durant: I Like Our Chances vs Anybody

Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant says he'll take his squad over anybody's.

PHOENIX -- Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant has never been shy on sharing his opinion, for better or worse.

Durant's been one of the more polarizing figures in the league, which was magnified after his move to the Golden State Warriors years ago in pursuit of a title.

Durant won two titles with the Warriors - and has been chasing a third since.

Perhaps that comes in Phoenix after arriving last season. With so many changes happening on the roster since his arrival, it's tough to tell if the Suns will pull themselves together to capture that coveted first NBA Finals title.

Continuity has been a heavy topic in the Valley, and only time will tell if the Suns will have enough of exactly that after the regular season ends. They've got 20 more games left to do so.

Speaking with NBA on TNT's Chris Haynes during their stop in Denver, Durant said he'll take the Suns over anybody come playoff time.

"I believe in this team, and we believe in one another. Yes, playing with Brad [Beal] and Book is new, but as far as the game itself, I have seen everything in this league. Everything has been thrown at me. I just want to see us continue to grow as a unit. I like our chemistry. Not just the three of us, but our whole team," Durant said.

"I think we're starting to build something and form an identity. And that takes time and reps. Our coaching staff is doing a great job. I'm not promising anything, but I like our chances against anybody."

While certainly not ground-breaking news, the Suns overcame a shaky start to the 2023-24 season and if they can stay healthy - Phoenix can certainly be a force out West, and it's evident the belief is growing with each win.

Entering today, the Suns are 36-26 with the No. 6 seed in the West.
