Anthony Edwards vows to shoot left-handed in NBA All-Star Game

"I'm going to shoot it left-handed the entire game."

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards is preparing for his second career All-Star Game but as a reserve for the Western Conference, he's looking to put on an ambidextrous show on Sunday night.

"I'm just trying to use my left hand the whole game," Edwards said during an interview on ESPN Friday night. "I'm going to shoot it left-handed the entire game."

When asked if that decision would mess up his field goal percentage, Edwards laughed it off.

"It's the All-Star Game," Edwards quipped. "Ain't nobody care about field goal percentage."

Edwards's declaration is just the latest vow to shoot left-hand jumpers during a game. The 22-year-old, who is right-handed, first demonstrated his left-handed shot during a contest with teammate Mike Conley during Thursday's shootaround and declared he would try it in a game after the Wolves' 128-91 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday night.

"It's coming soon," Edwards told reporters after the game. "You saw it right? It's cash. ...If we up in the fourth quarter by 20-plus [points] and I know I'm about to come out of the game, I'm taking a left-handed trey ball. So it's coming. Be on the look out."

Edwards is doing just fine with his dominant hand this season, averaging career-highs in points per game (26.3), assists (5.3) per game and 3-point percentage (.386) while leading the Wolves to the best record in the Western Conference.

After highlighting his season with self-lobs, banked 3-pointer and banked free throws, there's no telling what's coming next if Edwards connects with a couple of left-handed treys on Sunday night.
