Report: Timberwolves signing Justin Jackson to 10-day contract
The Timberwolves are reportedly signing forward Justin Jackson to a 10-day contract, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Jackson has been playing for the Texas Legends of the NBA G-League this season. He has averaged 19.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 19 games.
The 28-year-old forward last played in the NBA with the Celtics during the 2022-23 season. Jackson was traded at the deadline last season to the Thunder, who waived him the following day.
Jackson has played six season in the NBA after getting drafted 15th overall in 2017 by Portland. He has played for six teams since entering the league, winning the NBA title in 2021 with the Milwaukee Bucks. He's averaged 6.0 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in the NBA.

Minnesota has an open roster spot after trading Troy Brown Jr. and Shake Milton to Detroit for Monte Morris at the trade deadline. The odds of Jackson actually playing for Minnesota appear low as their roster is healthy and deep, so his arrival could simply be to give the team another practice player.
The Wolves hold a 1.5-game lead at the top of the Western Conference ahead of their return from the All-Star break Friday at 9 p.m. CT against the Bucks.
