Report: Wolves interested in Marcus Morris

Morris is averaging 6.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game this season for the 76ers

The Wolves have an open roster spot available after Wednesday's trade for Monte Morris. Minnesota are reportedly interested in veteran forward Marcus Morris to fill their final roster spot.

Morris was traded twice Thursday from the 76ers to the Pacers then finally landing in San Antonio with the Spurs. The 10-41 Spurs are expected to buy out the 34-year-old forward, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Evan Porter of TwolvesInsider reports the Wolves are expected to have interest if Morris hits free agency.

Morris is averaging 6.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game this season and has been in-and-out of the lineup over the past month due to a foot injury. He is shooting 43% from the field, 40% from three, and 86% from the charity stripe this season.

The Houston Rockets drafted Morris with the 14th overall pick in the 2011 draft. Morris has played for seven teams in his career, averaging 12.1 point and 4.5 rebounds per game while shooting 43% from the field.
