Draymond Green Reacts to Rockets Player Calling Out Warriors

The Golden State Warriors are trying to hold off the Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets have put some serious pressure on the Golden State Warriors, having won 10-straight games to pull within a game of the 10th seed.

While the Warriors were at one point hoping to climb out of the play-in tournament, their inconsistent play combined with Houston’s surge now has them hoping to hold onto that final play-in spot. As the Rockets continue to win games, the pressure on Golden State continues to increase. This is a dynamic that Houston is certainly aware of, which Rockets forward Tari Eason made clear in a recent video.

Calling the Warriors out, Eason let Golden State know that Houston is coming for their spot. Warriors forward Draymond Green addressed this on his podcast, saying, “Why he would come out and make a video telling the Warriors to come out and play? Everybody in Houston had a heart attack when he did that. When you lose to a team in the playoffs when it matters the most... It's tough to talk, because that's what matters."

As Green added, Eason has not even been playing in these games, but is still the Rockets player who went public with these comments. While Green respects the confidence, he made sure to note that Eason hasn’t been on the court for this Rockets win streak.

While this trash talk adds another dynamic to this battle for the 10th seed, the team who gets that spot will ultimately be the team who performs the best on the court from here on out. The Warriors have the edge right now, but Houston is playing very well.
