Injury Report: Golden State Warriors vs Portland Trail Blazers

This is a game the Warriors should not lose.

After a disappointing loss against the LA Clippers, the Golden State Warriors go against a shorthanded Portland Trail Blazers team that they absolutely should not struggle with.

The Warriors have three players listed on their injury report: Chris Paul, Gary Payton II, and Andrew Wiggins. Chris Paul is probable with a left lower leg nerve contusion, Gary Payton II is out due to a right calf strain, and Andrew Wiggins is probable with a right finger contusion. Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson are all listed as available. Having both Chris Paul and Andrew Wiggins be listed as probable is a huge upgrade.

The Portland Trail Blazers have five players listed on their injury report: Deandre Ayton, Jerami Grant, Anfernee Simons, Ish Wainright, and Robert Williams III. Deandre Ayton is doubtful due to right knee soreness, Jerami Grant is out due to concussion protocol, Anfernee Simons is questionable due to a right thumb ligament tear, Ish Wainright is out due to a left knee MCL sprain, and Robert Williams III is out due to a right knee ligament tear.

The Golden State Warriors already shouldn't be losing to the Trail Blazers, but especially shouldn't be losing with how shorthanded Portland is. This is a game that the Warriors desperately need to win, and can't afford to not take advantage of - especially with Golden State having a record of 9-11 right now.

The Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers face off tonight at 10:00 p.m. EST.
