Steve Kerr Reacts to Warriors Blowing Lead to Timberwolves

Steve Kerr believes the Warriors "gift-wrapped" the game to the Wolves.

For one reason or another, the Golden State Warriors continue to blow fourth-quarter leads on the road against teams. It happened again on Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr gave a very honest reaction to it.

"I thought we had control of the game," Kerr said. "I thought we just kinda gift-wrapped it. Not to take anything away from Minnesota, I thought they were great. They took advantage of our mistakes and our lack of execution. D-Lo got hot, guys made big shots, but we missed box outs, we threw the ball away, we took really difficult shots. Everything we had done up to that point to have control of the game, we stopped doing. We got what we deserved."

Losing this game against the Minnesota Timberwolves is a big loss for the Golden State Warriors. After Wednesday's loss, the Warriors are now in the 8th seed and only one game ahead of the 11th seed - a spot that puts Golden State out of the play-in.

Every single win and loss matters in the western conference to an insane degree. There is no separation between teams and it makes losses against teams in your own conference even worse.

There's still time for the Golden State Warriors to get the ship right, but a 7-19 road record is unacceptable. The Warriors have the 3rd worst road record in the western conference, only the Rockets and Spurs have a worse record. They're going to have to learn quickly, as they face the Denver Nuggets on the road next.
