Warriors Believe Draymond Green's Injury is Minor

Draymond Green has calf tightness.

Every time it seems like the Warriors are about to get fully healthy, the team takes a step back - it's been that type of season. After the Warriors lost to the Denver Nuggets, it was revealed that Draymond Green suffered calf tightness, an injury the team believes is minor.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr touched upon Green's injury after the game, revealing his early diagnosis. While the Warriors believe Green's injury is minor, he's still scheduled to undergo more tests.

"The belief is it's something minor, but he'll get checked out when we get home," Kerr said to the media.

The biggest concern is to have Draymond Green long-term, the team needs him for both his defense and ability to pass the ball. Additionally, both the Warriors and Draymond Green have been an interesting situation all year. One that Green literally described as "the writing is on the wall." Does the team try to trade him before the deadline? Or does Green decide to take a team-friendly deal and remain with Golden State?

As the Warriors try to figure out both their future with Draymond Green and his injury, they have the Dallas Mavericks awaiting them. Fortunately for Golden State, who desperately needs a win, Luka Doncic will not be traveling with the Mavericks to face them.

The Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks tipoff at 8:30 PM ET on February 4.
