What’s Next For Kyle Kuzma?

In this story:
Well, one domino has fallen in Washington. With the news breaking that Bradley Beal will be shipped to the Phoenix Suns, many have to wonder what’s next for the Washington Wizards as a team? What direction will this team look to go? Should they continue what they started last year and build upon that or tear the whole thing down and start from the ground up?
Since Bradley Beal is gone, the feeling in the room is that the Wizards will start from scratch from the ground up with a full rebuild. Kristaps Porzingis is a free agent who has a player option and Kyle Kuzma is in the same boat. What happens next for Kyle Kuzma is the ultimate question.
ESPN Sources: As expected, Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma has declined his $13 million player option and become a free agent. Kuzma will be one of the marketplace’s most prominent players. A return to Washington on a new deal remains a possibility.

Now that he has opted to test the free agency market, it seems as if Kuzma’s days in The District are long gone. Kyle Kuzma was a very important piece for this team last season who was asked to do a little bit of everything. His versatility and ability to guard multiple positions defensively helped the Wizards every game as he was basically used differently in each and every game to be honest.
While he has opted out to test free agency, it doesn’t necessarily mean he is leaving the Wizards. Really, it’s up to Kyle Kuzma what he would like to do with his future. He could cash in big time in Washington now that Bradley Beal’s contract is gone. Or, he could guage interest around the league as he is testing the market and get back to being on the big stage again like he was in LA with the Lakers when they won the championship in the NBA Bubble. It seems that is the route he is taking as nearly half the league would love to add him to their roster. Expect for him to leave. However, don’t be surprised if he is back in the red, white, and blue but only for the right price financially.
