Wizards NBA Draft: Frontcourt Additions Continue With Selection Of C Tristan Vukcevic

With the 42nd pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, the Washington Wizards added Tristan Vukcevic to Bilal Coulibaly in this year's class.

The Washington Wizards continued to address their frontcourt needs as they added a second player to this year's NBA Draft class.

With the 42nd pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, the Wizards selected center Tristan Vukcevic from Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade (Serbia).

"It remains to be seen if he will move stateside right away," says NBA.com about Vukcevic. "His potential as a versatile scorer is noticeable, although, his game is quite raw and might need one or two more seasons in Europe before being NBA-ready, especially on the defensive end. He projects to be a solid role player and where he lands will also determine his potential upside at the highest level."

With Washington's first pick of the night being traded to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for French forward Bilal Coulibaly, this selection represents the first pick made by the team that will actually play for the team.

Just not this season, most likely, and even that is assuming the Wizards don't trade him at some point before Vukcevic steps onto an NBA floor for the first time.

With this pick in the books, Washington has gained two front court players for the franchise and a pair of second-round picks to stack onto the previous haul received in the Bradley Beal trade.

And the Wizards still have another pick remaining before we call it a night at the 2023 NBA Draft.
