In the NFL’s constant war of attrition, injuries can decide games, seasons and a whole lot of futures. Here’s who will give it a shot, and who will not, as we head into Week 8 of the 2013 season:

Active

Jimmy Graham, TE, Saints (foot): Despite dealing with a partially torn plantar fascia in his foot, Graham is in the Saints' lineup Sunday. We'll have to wait to see how much he's able to do.

Reggie Bush, RB, Lions (knee): Bush told reporters this week that he would play, though he missed practice Friday with an ailing knee. He should be a full-go against the Cowboys.

Danny Amendola, WR, Patriots (head): Amendola sat out last week's loss to the Jets with a concussion. He passed the necessary tests this week, meaning he can suit up Sunday.

Dwayne Bowe, WR, Chiefs (groin): Could the undefeated Chiefs survive the Browns without a hobbled Bowe? Maybe. Luckily for them, it does not appear that they'll have to test their luck there, with Bowe active Sunday.

Inactive

Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Cardinals (foot): The Cardinals' running game will be fully in the hands of rookie Andre Ellington on Sunday, with Mendenhall suffering from a toe injury. Mendenhall did not practice this week and was listed as doubtful for Sunday.

DeMarco Murray, RB, Cowboys (knee): Murray sprained his MCL during a Week 6 win over Washington, so a two-week recovery would have been pushing it. Instead, Murray will wait until at least Week 9 before getting back on the field. WR Miles Austin (hamstring) also will miss Sunday's game in Detroit.

Brandon Jacobs, RB, Giants (hamstring): Peyton Hillis and Michael Cox shared reps in the Giants' backfield last week, and they'll do it again at Philadelphia. Jacobs had been listed as doubtful to play headed into Sunday.

Aqib Talib, CB, Patriots (hip): A big boost for the Dolphins here, as the Patriots' top corner will miss Week 8 with a hip injury. Talib practiced all week, giving New England hope that he would be close enough to 100 percent to play.

Nick Foles, QB, Eagles (head): Foles is inactive after suffering a concussion last week. That means rookie Matt Barkley will back up Michael Vick as Philadelphia's QB.

C.J. Spiller, RB, Bills (ankle): Spiller was a game-time decision Sunday, but his nagging ankle issue will leave him sidelined. Spiller had played in each of Buffalo's first seven games, but he had just 24 combined carries from Weeks 5 through 7 as he fought injury.

Fred Davis, TE, Redskins: The Redskins are rumored to have Davis on the trade block, but the fact that he's been unable to crack the active roster the past two weeks does not bode well.

Ronnie Hilliman, RB, Broncos:
