NFL Vets Who Need A New Team

Champ Bailey

In a salary-cap move designed to make better use of the $10 million it would owe Champ Bailey next season, the Broncos released him on March 6.

Richie Incognito

The bullying fiasco in Miami will make it extremely difficult for the offensive lineman to find a new home.

Larry Foote

Foote was Pittsburgh's leading tackler in 2012, but he turns 34 in June and is coming off a season in which he suffered a torn triceps.

Owen Daniels

Even though Owen Daniels offered to restructure his contract to stay with the team, the Texans cut him on March 11. Daniels, 31, did not play beyond the fourth game last season after being placed on injured reserve with a fractured fibula. He finished with 24 catches in 2013, and amassed 385 catches for 4,617 yards and 29 touchdowns in his 100 games with the Texans.

Davone Bess

The six-year veteran had career-lows in catches (42), receiving yards (362) and yards per catch (8.6) last season. Those numbers and his off-the-field problems will likely work against him.

Sidney Rice

Rice hasn't yet recovered from an ACL tear he suffered in October. Releasing him saves the Seahawks the $17.5 million he was scheduled to make over the next two seasons.

Jason Avant

Avant had a career-high 53 catches for Philadelphia in 2012 and made 38 a year ago. The Eagles gave him his walking papers on March 4.

Adam Carriker

Carriker tore the quad tendon in his right knee in the second game of the 2012 season and hasn't played since. The defensive lineman has had three surgeries on the knee and is aiming for a comeback in 2014. It won't be with the Redskins, who cut him in early March. (AP)

Vonta Leach

As the Ravens fullback in 2013, Leach was part of the franchise's worst rushing season in franchise history. That's something he hopes potential suitors won't hold against him.

Davin Joseph

The Bucs released the veteran guard on March 8. The 23rd overall pick in the 2006 draft, out of Oklahoma, Joseph was scheduled to make $6 million this year.

Santonio Holmes

In four seasons with the Jets, Holmes only had 146 catches for 2,128 yards and 16 touchdowns. That wasn't good enough for New York, which freed up roughly $8.25 million in cap space by cutting him on March 10.
