Titans reportedly 'clinging to hope' that they can still trade Chris Johnson

The Tennessee Titans have been trying to figure out running back Chris Johnson's future with the organization, which led them to considering a potential trade or release of the former 2,000 yard rusher.

Trade talks have halted over the past few days, but there still appears to be a possibility that Johnson could be moved in the near future.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Titans are "clinging to hope" that they can still move the running back.

Johnson has shown clear signs of declining in recent years and failed to return to his old form last season despite the Titans attempt to rebuild their offensive line in free agency. His contract (he's set to count $10 million against the cap in 2014) makes him very difficult to move.
