Chris Johnson rumors: New York Jets, Denver Broncos among possible landing spots for ex-Titans RB

News on the Chris Johnson front has been quiet over the recent weeks, but now that the veteran running back market is beginning to play out we could see some action soon. The Tennessee Titans are expected to release or trade Johnson at some point before the 2014 NFL Draft, and there is one team that could be worth watching.

According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, who is as dialed in on the Titans organization as anyone in the business, the Atlanta Falcons are the favorite to land Johnson if the Titans ultimately move him.

In Atlanta, Johnson would team up with fellow veteran running back Steven Jackson in the backfield.

Jackson is the physical, between-the-tackles runner, while Johnson can threaten a defense on the outside, even though he is beginning to lose a step.
