DeSean Jackson rumors: Star wide receiver wants $9 million to $10 million per year

Recently released wide receiver DeSean Jackson began his search for a new home on Monday with a visit to the Washington Redskins.

Teams are still doing their background work on the former Philadelphia Eagles wideout, examining whether adding him to the roster is a risk worth taking. They also need to determine if they can pay the amount Jackson is believed to be demanding.

According to Chris Russell of ESPN 980, a source says Jackson is searching for a deal that will pay him in the $9 million to $10 million a year range.

While that is a lot to demand, it is still technically a pay cut for Jackson, who was set to count $12.75 million against the cap in Philadelphia before being cut loose.

It is possible that Jackson never leaves Washington without signing a deal, but the Redskins also could balk at paying that large sum and allow Jackson to continue searching for his big money deal elsewhere.
