Cleveland Browns players mature enough to handle Johnny Manziel drama?

Johnny Manziel has received flak for his actions against Rice last Saturday.

The Cleveland Browns brass has hinted that ideally, they wouldn't select a quarterback with the fourth pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. That may take them out of the running for Johnny Manziel, but if the former Texas A&M product slips and the Browns are in position to nab him a bit later, it's within the realm of possibility that Manziel could be of interest to Cleveland.

If Manziel is drafted by the organization, media hype is sure to follow, but linebacker Quentin Groves says the team is ready for the impending media circus.

"I think we’re a mature enough team to handle it,'' Groves said on the second day of minicamp. "We've had some individual success here and people have handled it well. Josh Gordon and (Alex) Mack going to the Pro Bowl, Joe Thomas going to the Pro Bowl. Joe Haden and Jordan Cameron making their first Pro Bowls, things like that. I think we can handle it.''

While not to take away from the impressive accomplishments mentioned by Groves, those are a mere drop in the bucket in comparison to the hype Manziel would bring aboard.
