Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce said that New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork is explosive as ever, even after coming off a serious injury.

The Patriots and Eagles are participating in joint practices this week during training camp. Wilfork tore his Achillies in September and missed the remainder of the season.

"I did not notice anything -- he was not any slower, or any less explosive, that's for sure," Kelce said to ESPNBoston.com. “So he still has that explosiveness, still looks like the same great player that he's always been."

Wilfork, 32, restructured his deal to come back with the Patriots. His new deal is for one season and is worth $8 million, with $3 million guaranteed. It also includes an option for two more seasons.

Wilfork was a first-team All-Pro selection the season before his injury.

“Everyone thinks he's a big, powerful guy and he only has one facet to his game, but he's actually pretty quick for his size and he has great technique,” Kelce said.
