Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe has finger injury

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that wide receiver Dwayne Bowe is dealing a finger injury, and his finger "is shot." Reid did not say how Bowe got injured or how long he has been dealing with the injury.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said wide receiver Dwayne Bowe is dealing with a finger injury, but has continued to practice during training camp.

Reid did not say how Bowe got injured or how long he has been dealing with the injury.

"Dwayne Bowe has been out here and his finger is shot,” Reid said to the Kansas City Star. “It’s been thrown out of place about 15 times, so now he’s not catching the ball but he’s getting his work done. You can practice with that kind of thing.”

Bowe caught one pass for 10 yards in the team's preseason opener against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Bowe had 57 catches for 673 yards and five touchdowns for the Chiefs last season and will be entering the second season of a five-year, $56 million contract.
