BOSTON (AP) The fiancee of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez is seeking to have perjury charges dismissed.

Shayanna Jenkins is charged with lying to a grand jury investigating the killing of Odin Lloyd, a semi-professional football player who was dating Jenkins' sister. Hernandez faces three murder charges, including in Lloyd's killing.

Jenkins' lawyers filed a motion in county court in Fall River stating that prosecutors failed to provide sufficient evidence to a grand jury. The lawyers also claim that the ''integrity of the grand jury was impaired'' when prosecutors ''set out to deliberately charge her with perjury.''

The defense's legal memorandum and evidence supporting the arguments were filed under seal because they contain ''extensive materials and transcripts'' presented to a grand jury. Jenkins had been expected in court last week, but that hearing was postponed to Aug. 22.

Lloyd's body was found in an industrial park near the North Attleborough home Hernandez shared with Jenkins.

Prosecutors say Jenkins lied to a grand jury nearly 30 times, including saying she could not recall where she left a large box Hernandez allegedly told her to dispose of. They also say Jenkins lied when she said she couldn't remember conversations about Lloyd's murder that she had with Hernandez. She has pleaded not guilty.

Hernandez is also charged with killing two men in Boston in 2012. He has pleaded not guilty to all three murder charges.
