Barner, 25, appeared in eight regular season games and one playoff game last season as a rookie for Carolina, which selected him in the sixth round of the 2013 draft. He had seven rushing yards, seven receiving yards and 17 kick return yards.

"Kenjon will hopefully bring some depth to both our running back and return positions," said Eagles head coach Chip Kelly to the team's official website. Kelly coached Barner at Oregon, where the 5-foot-9, 185-pounder finished his collegiate career second in program history with 3,623 rushing yards and 41 rushing touchdowns.
