Giants OL Geoff Schwartz in walking boot, considered week-to-week
Giants guard Geoff Schwartz will be in a walking boot for 7-10 days and is considered week-to-week, the team announced Tuesday.
Schwartz, who signed a four-year deal with the Giants this offseason, suffered a dislocated right big toe in Friday's preseason game against the Jets. He saw a specialist in Charlotte on Monday.

The Giants have several changes on the offensive line this season. Kevin Boothe signed with the Raiders as a free agent; David Diehl and Chris Snee both retired; and David Baas was released after failing a physical. Tackles Will Beatty and Justin Pugh are returning this season, though.

Rookie Weston Richburg, a second-round pick out of Colorado State, has taken Schwartz's spot in practice.
The Giants open the season on Sept. 8 against the Lions in Detroit.
