Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis told reporters Wednesday that he is not sure whether offensive tackle Andre Smith will play on Sunday.

Smith has missed all four of the Bengals' preseason games after sustaining a concussion at the beginning of training camp.

"I never have any concerns but I don't know if Andre will be ready to come out of the gate," Lewis told reporters Wednesday. "Concerns really don't matter because nobody gives me anything for them, so we'll know where Andre is when we get to Sunday."

BURKE: Defending champs reign ... for now

In the past two seasons, Smith has played in all of the Bengals regular season games, and started in all but one.

With Smith out, Will Svitek and Marshall Newhouse played at right tackle during the Bengals' preseason games.

The Bengals open their season on the road against the Baltimore Ravens.
