The Giants finished at 7-9 last season, their first losing season with Eli Manning as the full-time starting quarterback. New York missed the playoffs for the second consecutive season.

The Giants had the highest turnover rate in the NFL last season, and the second lowest percentage of drives ending in a score. The team fired offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride and replaced him with Packers quarterbacks coach Ben McAdoo.
