James Jones compares Derek Carr to Aaron Rodgers

Oakland Raiders wide receiver James Jones sees a lot of similarities with his rookie quarterback Derek Carr and another player from whom Jones caught passes. 

Jones compared Carr to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who was Jones' teammates for six years. 

“He’s really calm, really cool in the pocket,” Jones said to San Francisco Chronicle. “He acts like he’s been there before. I’ve been calling him mini A-Rod since he got here.”

Jones signed a three-year deal worth $11.3 million with the Raiders this offseason. Carr will be the first rookie Raiders quarterback to start the opening game of a season for the franchise when the team plays the New York Jets on Sunday.
