The New Orleans Saints finished with an 11-5 record last season, good for second in the NFC South. New Orleans advanced to the divisional round of the postseason before being eliminated by the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks in the second round.

Quarterback Drew Brees finished second in the NFL with 5,162 passing yards.

Sean Payton will be entering his eighth season as the team's head coach, welcoming in a draft class that includes wide receiver Brandon Cooks, who played college football at Oregon State.

This offseason, the Saints signed former Buffalo Bills safety Jairus Byrd, a three-time Pro Bowl selection. New Orleans notably lost defensive end Will Smith, fullback Jed Collins and and safety Roman Harper.
