The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished last season with a 4-12 record, after which head coach Greg Schiano was fired. The Bucs then brought in former Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith to lead the team.

Tampa Bay tied for the third-best turnover margin in the NFL last season with +10.

Buccaneers quarterback Mike Glennon shattered a number of rookie records for the team in 2013, but former Bears QB Josh McCown was named the team's starter this season.

Tampa Bay lost cornerback Darrelle Revis this offseason, but added offensive tackle Anthony Collins and cornerback Alterraun Verner. They drafted wide receiver Mike Evans out of Texas A&M with the No. 7 pick in the NFL draft.
