Raiders' Roach out vs. Jets with concussion

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) Oakland Raiders linebacker Nick Roach will not play in the season opener against the New York Jets because of a concussion.

Roach was injured on Aug. 22 in the Raiders' preseason game against Green Bay. He is being replaced Sunday by Miles Burris.

Also out for the Raiders are cornerback Chimdi Chekwa, wide receiver Brice Butler, backup quarterback Matt McGloin, guard Tony Bergstrom, tackle Matt McCants and defensive end Shelby Harris.

Jets cornerback Dee Milliner will not play after being ruled out Friday as he recovers from a high ankle sprain. He'll be replaced by Darrin Walls.

Also inactive for the Jets are safety Josh Bush, tackle Ben Ijalana, guard Dakota Dozier, linebacker Ikemefuna Enemkpali, wide receiver Walt Powell and cornerback Leon McFadden.
