Washington Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Monday that defensive tackle Barry Cofield and tight end Jordan Reed could miss time after sustaining injuries in Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans.
Cofield is believed to have suffered a high ankle sprain, while Reed is dealing with a hamstring strain, according to reports.
Speaking about both players, Gruden said “We’ll see how it goes. We’ll get with the trainer. It will probably be a week or two or three or …we’ll see.”
Cofield and Reed are both listed as starters on the team's depth chart. Last season Reed caught 45 passes for 499 yards and three touchdowns, while Cofield recorded 17 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
The Redskins host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
