Minnesota Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway has a broken hand, head coach Mike Zimmer said at a press conference Wednesday.

Zimmer said he's hopeful the linebacker can play Sunday when the Vikings travel to the New Orleans Saints.

It's unclear when Greenway injured his hand and what his exact prognosis is.

Greenway was limited in training camp due to a sore right wrist, the same wrist he sprained and later broke in two places last season. He was still able to play in all 16 games in 2013.

The 31-year-old has 10 tackles through the Vikings' first two games this season. Minnesota is 1-1.
