Report: Raiders' RB Maurice Jones-Drew inactive against Patriots

Raiders' RB Maurice Jones-Drew will sit out Sunday's game against the Patriots due to a hand injury, reports the NFL Network's Steve Wyche.

The 29-year-old running back had surgery on his right hand earlier this month after injuring it in Oakland's 19-14 loss to the Jets. Jones-Drew was sidelined during the team's week two loss to the Texans.

Jones-Drew signed a three-year deal with Oakland this past March, after spending his first eight seasons with the Jaguars, where he racked up three-thousand-yard rushing seasons. Jones-Drew currently holds several Jacksonville franchise records, including most rushing touchdowns and most rushing yards in a single season.
Jones-Drew had nine carries for 11 yards in his first game with Oakland.
