A day after the New York Giants' 27-0 road loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Giants quarterback Eli Manning said the team has to "grow up" this week, according to Paul Schwartz of TheNew York Post

The Giants entered Sunday night's game against the Eagles having won three straight games. But Philadelphia dominated play, holding a 20-0 lead at halftime and keeping the Giants off the scoreboard.

New York only had 12 first downs the entire game. The Giants totaled 253 yards of offense, while the Eagles tallied 448. Philadelphia also sacked Manning eight times.

Manning said Monday that he squandered opportunities to connect on deep passes with rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. because he didn't have time to make the throw.

With the loss, the Giants fell to 3-3. The team currently sits in third place in the NFC East behind the Cowboys and Eagles, both of whom are 5-1. New York plays at Dallas this Sunday.

In addition to losing the game, the Giants also lost top receiver Victor Cruz for the rest of the season to a torn patellar tendon. Cruz, who was a Pro Bowler in 2012, had caught 23 passes for 337 yards and a touchdown this season.

After playing the Cowboys next Sunday, the Giants have a bye.
