SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson has won the Madden Bowl, a celebration of the popular Electronic Arts video game.

Peterson defeated reigning champion LeSean McCoy of the Philadelphia Eagles. The digital match the pair played Thursday night mimicked the path that led this year's Super Bowl matchup, with an official review overturning a touchdown run by McCoy's team.

During the playoffs, an officials' call led to the elimination of the Dallas Cowboys from the playoffs.

Rain drenched the city block EA took over to host this year's Madden Bowl, keeping many partygoers from watching the games play out live on stage, opting to watch them on televisions mounted in several covered bar areas.

Partygoers were treated to a halftime show by Norwegian musicians Nico & Vinz, and occasional comedic banter from host Kevin Hart.
