Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is listed as active Sunday.

Kirk Cousins will the start for Washington against the New York Jets, but due to multiple injuries across the roster Griffin is active for the first time this season.

Griffin sustained a concussion in a preseason game against the Lions on Aug. 20. He was cleared to play in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins, but Cousins was named the starting quarterback at the beginning of the season.

The Redskins drafted both Griffin and Cousins in 2012, taking Griffin in the first round and Cousins in the fourth.

This season, Cousins has completed 68.1% of his passes, with five touchdowns and six interceptions. The Redskins entered Sunday 2–3 and in third place in the NFC East.
