LeSean McCoy expected to miss Bills finale against Jets

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan says running back LeSean McCoy is not expected to play in the team's season finale against the New York Jets on Sunday because of a right knee injury.

Though Ryan wouldn't rule out McCoy entirely, he said ''it probably doesn't look real good.'' McCoy has not practiced since getting hurt in a 35-25 loss at Washington on Dec. 20.

The Bills promoted cornerbacks Bud Noel and Sammy Seamster from their practice squad to bolster an injury-depleted defensive backfield. Starting cornerback Stephon Gilmore and backup Ron Brooks are on injured reserve. Rookie starter Ronald Darby's status to play is uncertain because of a groin injury.

Buffalo (7-8), which is out of playoff contention, also signed tight end Manasseh Garner and safety Phillip Thomas to the practice squad.
