Hall of Fame coach Don Shula was admitted to the hospital on Monday evening, his wife Mary Anne said in a statement.

“Coach Shula has been admitted to the hospital due to fluid retention and sleep apnea,” the statement read, according to the Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero. “The family is looking for a speedy recovery.”

The 86-year-old is alert and in good spirits, according to the family.

Shula coached the Dolphins from 1970–95, winning two Super Bowl. He’s made six trips to the title game, which is tied for the most of any coach in history.
