Why Deebo Samuel Believes the 49ers can Make a Run in 2024

Deebo Samuel has faith that the 49ers will manage to bounce back from their heartbreaking Super Bowl loss to make a run in 2024.

Suffering a heartbreaking loss in the Super Bowl to the Kansas City Chiefs could have repercussions on the San Francisco 49ers.

It is one thing to lose the big game, but in that fashion in the way that they did could shatter them going into 2024. Finding the motivation, the drive to push forward next season could be a struggle for them. However, Deebo Samuel believes the 49ers can make a run again in 2024.

On Tuesday, Samuel appeared on the Up and Adams show with Kay Adams where he was asked if his faith is "shaken" in the 49ers to find success next season.

"Not at all. If you look at it, we still got 90-95 percent of the guys that's coming back," said Samuel. "I got all the faith in the world in this team that we have. It's cool and all four out of five NFC championships, making two Super Bowls, that's all cool, fine, and dandy, but it's not cool when you're not the team at the end of the year holding the Lombardi. Everybody on this team has one goal and I hope we set out and we get it done."

So, basically what Samuel is saying is "run it back 4.0" for the 49ers in 2024. While I agree the 49ers will still be a good playoff contending team next season, I don't know about them making a Super Bowl appearance again with the current group they have now. This group has remained relatively the same since 2019 when they made their first Super Bowl together.

Since then they have suffered heartbreaking finishes to their seasons. At some point, the 49ers have to acknowledge that it isn't always bad luck or what the other team across the field is doing. Maybe it is time for them to undergo some significant tweaks and changes. Running it back has failed them every year, but I sincerely doubt the 49ers care to make anything more than minor adjustments going into 2024.
