It’s no secret that LA’s season took a turn for the worst with QB Justin Herbert going down for the season, and of course, that means other guys are going to have to step up. Guys like RB Austin Ekeler have already been superstars, so now it’s time for him to shine brightest.
He hasn’t had his best season by any means, but we expect his ability to be a dual threat to be on full display with backup QB Easton Stick now under center. He’s going to need a security blanket to dump off too, which should be Ekeler. He has always been a receiving threat out of the backfield, and that includes as of late.
In the Chargers’ last two games, he’s had six and seven targets, and he’s had at least six targets in three of his last four games.
