Chargers News: Pundit Believes Keenan Allen May Be Able To Extend Ongoing Record In Game 5

The star veteran may be able to help the team win while boosting his personal achievements.

Keenan Allen is off to an incredible start for the year!

In four games, Allen has 35 catches for 434 yards and a trio of touchdowns.

Allen is fully healthy, and it shows on the field, seemingly being open every time Herbert passes the ball.

His dominance came in Week 3 in what would be the team's first win this season; Allen ended the game with 18 catches for 215 yards. He was targeted 20 times.

“Did you know WR Keenan Allen owns the NFL record for most games – three – with at least 15 receptions? With wingman Mike Williams down for the count, wouldn’t be a shock if Allen extends that mark before this year is out.”

Allen is one of the last people to care about personal achievements. Still, his production on the field has been one of the best things this offense has needed, especially with Austin Ekeler and Mike Williams going down with injuries.

Ekeler is slated to come back this week against the Dallas Cowboys, but that might just be able to free up Allen more in the passing game, which teams could cover more tightly with star receiver Williams out for the year.

But with Ekeler's return and a promising rookie in Quetin Johnston alongside Allen, he may be able to work against single and soft coverages.

Allen's reemergence and productivity have been a great asset that this team needed going into this year.

When he and Justin Herbert are clicking, the offense is seemingly unstoppable, especially paired with the dual threat Austin Ekeler out of the backfield.

The team is getting healthier, and veterans are stepping up on both sides of the ball; look for the Chargers to move the win streak to three after Monday Night Football.
