Chargers Injury Report: Deane Leonard Misses Third Straight Practice, Ruled Out

LA's secondary could be without a starting corner.

For the third straight day, Los Angeles Chargers defensive back Deane Leonard is not practicing and now appears likely to miss out on Sunday's home game against the Denver Broncos.

Leonard, 33, has been on the Chargers injury report due to an ongoing ankle injury. He missed three games earlier this year due to the injury.

According to the Chargers depth chart, it would seem likely that Ja'Sir Taylor is in line to start at the left corner back position against the Broncos.

This year, Leonard has played in nine games for the Bolts and has recorded 20 tackles and zero interceptions.

If Taylor gets the start, he will have his hands full as the Broncos offense has started to come alive over the last six games. Quarterback Russel Wilson has thrown for 1080 yards with nine passing touchdowns.

Over this duration, Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has caught five touchdowns for 362 yards, including two that inevitably won the game for Denver.

The Chargers are slated to host the Broncos at 1:25 PM PT this Sunday.
