Chargers News: Austin Ekeler’s Status Downgraded for Must-Win Week 3 Matchup

No Ekeler once again

The Los Angeles Chargers will be without their star running back, Austin Ekeler, for the second straight week. 

Ekeler is still dealing with a high ankle sprain, and that will keep him out again for a must-win Week 3 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Both teams sit at 0-2 heading into Week 3, so there is no lack of urgency for both teams. 

This is a massive loss for the Bolts, who will do anything to find their groove. They will now try to find it without their explosive running back, who changes their dynamic in a big way.

Ekeler will be severely missed; hopefully, those available will slide right in and fill in for him compared to Week 2. 

Nonetheless, LA will do all it can to get on the winning side of the column.
