Chargers Injury Report: Keenan Allen Status For Wednesday Practice Revealed

LA's best remaining offensive player suit up?

Are your Los Angeles Chargers about to go full tank?

They probably should, to be fair, with some really appetizing potential prizes awaiting the lucky teams who'll be making the first five or so picks at the top of next spring's NFL draft.

But it sure seems like there's a distinct possibility LA Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen may not suit up for this Saturday's matchup against the Buffalo Bills, at least judging from his practice reps.

Per the Chargers' Wednesday injury report, Allen didn't participate at all in today's session due to a heel injury, which certainly doesn't bode well for his chances of playing this weekend.

Thus far this season, the 6'2", 211-pound vet has logged 108 receptions (first in the NFL, by the way), 1,243 total receiving yards (fourth in the league), and seven touchdowns (tied for eighth in the NFL). One wonders if, with all those spiffy stats and a potential sixth Pro Bowl berth on the line, the Cal alum is just trying to maximize his rest prior to the Bills bout, rather than actually hurt enough to sit out. Time will tell.

Allen, 32, has survived two tenures with the Bolts under both Philip Rivers and now Justin Herbert.
