Austin Ekeler, RB for the Los Angeles Chargers, has been improving at a very fast rate and is now looking to get compensated for his play. He originally signed a 4-year, $24.5 million deal back in 2020 but has quickly risen above that number.

In just the first two seasons of his contract, he ran over 2,000 yards and scored 38 touchdowns. Ekeler is just 27-years-old and still has many years ahead of him to improve further. He is currently viewed as one of the most promising players at his position in the game and provides the most consistent offense on the Chargers outside of Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen. Ekeler's availability is also a plus seeing that he has missed just one game in the last two years.

Unfortunately, LA's front office has failed to come to terms with Ekeler and he as requested to speak to other teams in hopes of finding a trade partner. The news first surfaced thanks to Adam Schefter.

It is worth noting that the Chargers could save up to $6.25 million in cap space by parting ways with their RB and use that money elsewhere. We'll keep you guys posted once we find out more.
