The Los Angeles Chargers are gearing up for a huge 2023 season. A lot will be at stake for the team and many players, including star running back Austin Ekeler

Ekeler will at least be with the team for one more season, and although he may feel forced to be here, his actions speak otherwise. LA is currently on a hiatus before they return in July for training camp, but that doesn't mean Ekeler isn't doing his part for the city of Los Angeles. 

The 28-year-old posted a video of giving back to one of LA"s powerhouse high schools, Long Beach Poly HS, providing them with weight room equipment. 

Austin does more than score touchdowns for the Bolts. He started the Austin Ekeler Foundation a couple of years ago, and his mission is to help create opportunities for people to fulfill their passions and, ultimately, their lives. 

I'll say so far, he's succeeded, as he's done a ton for the greater Los Angeles area, including providing schools like Santa Barbara High School with a new gym. The running back spoke on his foundation when he first started it up and elaborated on why he created it in the first place. 

"The reason I call it the Austin Ekeler Foundation is because I envision myself helping who I used to be as a kid," Ekeler said. "And that's someone who came from a small town – not that many resources. I had a lot of support which was great, but it was just a time in my life where I was like, 'I really don't know what's happening. I really don't have any rea

It's great to see Ekeler be more than a football player and give back to the city he's been in since 2017.
