In the NFL, changes in coaching personnel can be as shocking as a player wearing a new uniform.

And for the Chargers, they have picked up one of the most anticipated coordinators in today's game by hiring Kellen Moore as the Bolts new Offensive Coordinator.

As a former NFL Quarterback with the Dallas Cowboys, the QB-turned-OC had a very impressive start to his coaching career with the Cowboys, so when teams like the Chargers found out he was available this summer, they knew they had to fight for his signature.

The Athletic's, Daniel Popper, believes that replacing Joe Lombardi with Kellen Moore as the new Offensive Coordinator is the team's best offseason move so far.

"The Chargers want a more consistent run game and more explosive plays overall. They are confident Moore can achieve both of those things, and there is reason to believe he will elevate Herbert and this offense to new heights."

From Keenan Allen and Justin Herbert to Rashawn Slater and Mike Williams, Injuries plagued the Bolts last season, which was very difficult for last season's OC, Joe Lombardi, to deal with.

Despite finishing the year 2nd in the AFC West with 10-7 record, when you have someone like Kellen Moore available, its very difficult to say no.

With a run and gun style of play and some expertise in game-changing plays, Moore isn't just going to enhance Herbert's game, but will also spread the attacking prowess across the Bolts offense.

And this might be a very bold take, but I believe it is safe to say that Herbert has a better chance in becoming an MVP candidate this season, rather than someone like Joe Lombardi at the helm.
