Chargers News: Expert Claims Brandon Staley Will Be Fired

Time for LA to bring in a new locker room voice?

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley is apparently doomed.

At least, according to Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz, as he explains below:

"Brandon Staley, barring a miracle down the stretch, is out with the Los Angeles Chargers," Schultz declared. "And the reason is, they have not had sustained regular season success, they've only been to one playoff game in three years that was a catastrophic loss to the Jaguars, their defense is consistently [in] the bottom half, or in this case, this season, bottom five across every major statistical category, including total defense, which is dead last."

Staley has guided the club to a miserable 4-7 record thus far on the current 2023 NFL season. The Bolts have just one "gimme" game left on their schedule, against the 2-9 New England Patriots, one of the dregs of the AFC conference. But Los Angeles isn't necessarily that far off such a distinction.

Yes, star quarterback Justin Herbert has been without key wide receiver Mike Williams for much of the season, but that doesn't exactly explain the aforementioned defensive issues, plus two recent blown opportunities to win late in the fourth quarters of games against the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens across these last two weeks.
