Chargers News: Keenan Allen Resilient As Playoff Chances Slip

A tough year gets even tougher.

The Bolts' 5-8 season has been hit with the final nail in its coffin: a potential Justin Herbert season-ending injury.

In a crowded AFC playoff picture, the Chargers are on the outside looking in, and now have nobody to man their sinking ship as they head into the final few games of the season. The goal at this point, has somehow become gaining the best draft pick possible.

That is, for the fans watching, as they hope that at least the future will be brighter than the underwhelming past 3 seasons.

For wide receiver Keenan Allen, however, he has different thoughts on the matter.

Per Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times, Allen remarked that he's "obviously frustrated," and that "the season didn't go how [we] wanted it do. Still got, what, four games left. Keep battling."

Keenan's attitude is something to admire, as, despite the grim outlook on the season, there are still a few games left to go. Thankfully, the Chargers' stars still plan to battle it out to deliver at least a winning record by season's end.

The Bolts face off against the Raiders on a short week, competing in what should be another underwhelming episode of Thursday Night Football. With regards to the future, we'll see what happens to Brandon Staley, Kellen Moore, Tom Telesco, and likely the majority of the roster, as it seems like nobody will be safe this offseason, besides the rookie contracts, Justin Herbert, Rashawn Slater, and possibly Keenan Allen.
