Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Khalil Mack is one of the best defensive players in the game. Mack was drafted by the then-Oakland Raiders with the fifth pick in the 2014 NFL draft that was filled with talent.

The 2014 class has produced some major talent, including Mack, but another defensive player has made his mark in the league and has established himself as an all-time great in Los Angeles Rams DT Aaron Donald.

Donald was drafted eight picks later by the then-St Louis Rams and has been a game-changer for the franchise. Mack and Donald are widely regarded as the two best defensive players in that class, and they'll always be connected in that way. The 32-year-old linebacker realizes that and was asked about his defensive counterpart on Kevin Hart's show "Cold as Balls."

Kahlil says they always have and will continue to go back and forth with each other.

"I had goals coming into the league. First-year defensive player of the year wanted to get that Aaron Donald. 2016 comes, defensive player of the year, special moment wanted to do it again. 2017, it was Aaron Donald."

Hart went on to say that you need someone like that to keep pushing you, and Mack agreed with the comedian.

LA made the big move for Mack last March in hopes he would be the anchor to their defense as he's been throughout his career. Even though LA didn't accomplish what they wanted, he still put up numbers in his ninth year in the league.

The linebacker still seems to have that hunger and drive to be the best defensive player, and Charger fans love to see that. He must come up huge for the Bolts to accomplish what they need to, and we can't wait to witness it.

We're glad he's on our side and playing at a high level.
