When Jaylen Guyton went down with a knee injury in just the third week of the 2022 season, it was a huge blow to the promising WR who had grown to become one of Justin Herbert's favorite passing targets.

The injury was ruled an ACL tear and he went on to miss the rest of the year. LA decided against offering Guyton a contract at the beginning of free agency and he has remained unsigned since. However, the Chargers began their offseason workout program on Monday and he was present.

Fans were shocked to hear this news as everybody was under the belief that he was still a free agent.

However, it was then revealed that he re-signed with the Chargers that same day.

"The #Chargers have officially re-signed WR Jalen Guyton."

"Signed this morning, according to team spokesperson."

In the two seasons prior to his injury, Guyton recorded close to 1,000 yards combined and scored six touchdowns.

He is still just 25-years-old and the Bolts obviously believe in his ability even after such a serious injury. Considering that both Mike Williams and Keenan Allen are getting up there in age, it's smart to have some younger options at that position.
