Chargers News: LA Tweaks Roster Prior To Sunday Packers Bout

Chargers tweak roster ahead of their pivotal Week 11 matchup

The Los Angeles Chargers are preparing for their pivotal Week 11 clash against the Green Bay Packers tomorrow. This game is vital for the 4-5 Bolts to stay within the playoff picture and get a winning streak going.

The Bolts seem to have most of their key players on both sides of the field. However, they will be without a critical depth piece, and they made some tweaks ahead of their tenth game of the season.

According to Daniel Popper of The Athletic, Los Angeles officially shelved running back Isaiah Spiller for the day, while promoting a pair of wide receivers, Terrell Bynum and Alex Erickson, from their practice squad to help deal with a rash of injuries to that position.

Spiller is dealing with an illness, so he will be out against the Packers. Spiller has seen a limited role in 2023, recording only 12 carries on 27 yards and zero touchdowns. It will be a two-person job out in the backfield, and Austin Ekeler and Joshua Kelley have shown they're more than capable.

The move to bring up wide recievers Terrell Bynum and Alex Erickson possibly mean the asbesnce of wide recieevr Jalen Guyton who is listed as questionable as of Saturday dealing with a grion injury.

Nonetheless, the Chargers are set for a signicant matchup as we hit the second half of the season and we cannot wait to get it started.
