The NFL Draft is a time when organizations draft young football players to help guide them and lead their teams to greatness for a number of years. It's great to see these players' dreams come true and see them celebrate with their families.

However, all that has come and gone, and the actual football is now ahead of us. The Chargers addressed many of their needs in the 2023 NFL Draft and should help their team improve this season, including their first-round pick, wide receiver Quentin Johnston

Johnston and the rest of the rookies showed up on Friday to Costa Mesa to participate in their minicamp, and the Chargers' newest weapon looked great in it.

Johnston was the second receiver taken off the board and holds a ton of expectations for a Chargers team that needed another explosive, young pass catcher. The former TCU WR is set to join a veteran WR room filled with guys who have been there and done that.

At the moment, Johnston could be their third option, barring injury, but if worse comes to worst, he could take over as the number one or number two in 2023 as a rookie. We never wish any ill will; however, these core of guys (Mike Williams and Keenan Allen) have shown to be injury prone throughout their careers.

We hope that's not the case this season, as they will need everyone at their disposal to play and perform at a high level on all facets of the team.

Johnston looks great at camp, and we can't see what else he displays the rest of the offseason.
